The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) announced that the CX-9 earned the Top Safety Pick+ award when equipped with specific features! These features include front crash prevention and a specific set of headlights that were built after June 2019. To even be considered for the Top Safety Pick+ award, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the driver and passenger side overlap fronts, roof strength, and head restraint tests that vehicles are tested through.
