Generating 256 horsepower on premium gasoline and 227 horsepower on regular unleaded, every press of the accelerator in this trim level is met with a surging burst of speed. Building on the Mi-Drive transmission and i-Activ® AWD systems, a special Tow Mode is found that increases the towing capability of the CX-50 to 3,500 pounds. Equipment in the Turbo trim is taken directly from the Preferred trim of the model equipped with the standard engine.

The Turbo Premium trim of the CX-50 takes everything directly from the Premium Plus trim of the crossover SUV that is equipped with the standard powertrain. The Meridian Edition is a special version of the 2023 CX-50 that looks even more like it is built to be an off-roading titan with unique exterior decals and other branding to help differentiate it from the rest of the lineup.
