Get to Know the 2021 Mazda CX-30

Having been introduced for the 2020 model year, the Mazda CX-30 adds another level of excellence to the family of Mazda crossover SUVs. For the new 2021 CX-30, Mazda has largely left the crossover untouched to keep the excellence from the original 2020 model intact. However, there are a couple of nice additions to the 2021 CX-30 to enhance the overall performance of the vehicle. Mazda has also made select technology standard across the various trims of the CX-30, where they were optional in the 2020 model.

Performance

The base engine equipped on both the 2020 and 2021 Mazda CX-30 is a 2.5L four-cylinder variety that is supplemented with turbocharged performance. Sporting 186 horsepower and an EPA-estimated 25 MPG city/33 MPG highway fuel economy on FWD models, the CX-30 is an ideal blend of performance and efficiency. New for the 2021 models of the CX-30 is an optional version of the 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine generates 250 horsepower and any model of the 2021 CX-30 fitted with this engine is also automatically fitted with AWD. Both model years offer reliable performance that can tackle any task drivers set their mind to.

Interior Features

Mazda ensures all occupants of either the 2020 or 2021 CX-30 have a pleasant and interactive riding experience for every adventure. The materials used to construct the interior of all CX-30 models are upscale, creating a sophisticated and appealing cabin to ride in. Upper-level trims for both model years also offer drivers heated functionality to the front seating for another layer of comfort. While Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on select 2020 models of the CX-30, Mazda has made these two programs standard across all models of the 2021 CX-30.

Safety Features

Mazda has made both the 2020 and 2021 CX-30 SUVs among the safest crossovers on the road today. A wide array of innovative technology systems keeps the driver aware of the road around them, giving them extra confidence in any driving situation. Systems such as Automated Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Detection actively assist the driver of the CX-30 when the area in front of the crossover has an obstacle that could result in a collision. Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist work together to prevent the unintentional merging of the CX-30 into another lane or even off the road entirely. These systems are found standard across all 2020 and 2021 Mazda CX-30 crossovers.
